Description of Services
This Office acts as the local conduit for the NJ EASE program and provides a
range of services to the Hudson County Senior Community. These services include
maintaining a service network capable of meeting the health, economic and social
needs of older adults in Hudson County, with a particular emphasis on assisting
those who are considered frail, economically disadvantaged or vulnerable.
The office assists in coordinating luncheons, summer cruises and other
recreational activities in coordination with municipal senior affairs offices.
The Office on Aging also coordinates volunteer programs such as the new Senior
Docent Program which will give seniors the opportunity to train to become tour
guides at County historical sites including the Historic Brennan Court
House.
